Location: Karachi, Pakistan (office based)
The AutoCAD Technician/Draftsperson will be a key part of our engineering team, responsible for preparing accurate and detailed CAD drawings that support the design and analysis of telecom infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers and project managers, the AutoCAD Technician/Draftsperson will translate conceptual designs and specifications into technical drawings, ensuring compliance with quality and industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of drafting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed CAD drawings for telecom infrastructure projects, including towers, masts, and base stations.
- Converting design concepts and sketches from engineers into clear, professional technical drawings.
- Ensuring all CAD drawings meet Delmec’s quality standards and are compliant with industry specifications.
- Assisting in the preparation of design reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborating closely with engineers and project teams to adjust designs based on specifications and project needs.
- Managing and organising CAD files and data according to Delmec’s standards.
Requirements:
- Qualification in CAD Technology, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or relevant technical discipline.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Technician or in a similar role.
- Experience with telecommunications infrastructure is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities in a technical setting.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
